Giving back to the community.

Each year, the members of the San Francisco FrontRunners nominate and select Bay Area charities serving the LGBT and greater community to be the recipient of the net proceeds from the annual Pride Run and Sponsorship dollars.

If you would like to donate to our beneficiaries by becoming a Pride Run sponsor, please see our Sponsors page.

  • FAMILY BUILDERS

Mission Statement: Family Builders offers different adoption programs that can help you find the child that is waiting to join your family. For almost 35 years, Family Builders By Adoption has believed that every child has the right to grow up in a permanent, nurturing family regardless of that child's age, race, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, medical physical or emotional condition. Family Builders educates the community about the needs of children in foster care, advocates on their behalf, and places children with permanent, secure families through adoption, and other forms of permanence. The majority of the children and youth Family Builders' social workers serve have experienced multiple foster care placements, have been split up from sibling groups, are over five years of age, and are people of color. They often have emotional, physical, developmental, and learning disabilities; many have been abused and neglected. All services are free of charge; all materials and services are provided in both English and Spanish. Family Builders serves families in the nine Bay Counties, and is the official adoption agency for San Francisco. The children come from all over the state. Family Builders works with about 400 youth each year and about 300 families through foster-parent orientation, training, homestudy, and matching, the adoption process, and post-adoption service.
